From the factory, Gen 5 Haldex systems operate within conservative clutch pressure thresholds designed for stock power levels. As engine output increases, particularly in tuned applications, the factory strategy can limit effective rear axle engagement. APR Stage 1 addresses this by recalibrating the Haldex control unit to proactively command higher clamping pressure during high-load events, ensuring available power is transferred more effectively to all four wheels. The result is faster AWD engagement, improved launch consistency, and greater traction confidence especially when paired with APR performance software. Importantly, Stage 1 maintains full OEM integration and safeguards, preserving daily drivability and seamless operation during normal driving conditions.
