APR's pleased to present a 3" Performance Race DP System for the 1.8T and 2.0T engines. The factory exhaust system utilizes 2.5" exhaust piping, an 800 cell per square inch catalytic converter directly attached to the turbocharger and a 600 cell count catalytic converter further down the exhaust stream. This restrictive exhaust path slows turbocharger spool rate, increases exhaust gas temperature and minimizes power output.
The APR Race DP Exhaust System frees up the exhaust stream using 3" exhaust piping and incorporating a single high flow 200 cell count catalytic converter far from the turbocharger outlet. The high flow Race DP supports power levels beyond APR's K04, Stage 3/3+ and Stage 4 Turbocharger Systems and connects directly to APR's RSC Performance Catback Exhaust Systems or to the OEM catback exhaust system.
With the APR 3" Race DP mated to the OEM catback exhaust, a deeper and more noticeable note is present, yet sound levels remains quiet and civilized under normal driving behavior.
