Version 2.0.1 is now available for the DQ250 DSG/S Tronic transmission found on the MK7 Golf R / S3 and similar vehicles. The update is free for existing APR TCU Upgrade customers and offers a substantial update to the existing product.

APR’s calibration experts have recalibrated the transmission to continue increasing clutch clamping pressure when clutch slip is detected. The transmission is now capable of holding higher torque levels, and the changes result in faster acceleration thanks to quicker shifts, faster clutch engagement during take off, and stronger launch control launches. The transmission remains more consistent during back-to-back testing, with healthy, properly-lubricated transmissions no longer suffering from overheat warnings with seemingly little effort to produce them. Finally, following customer feedback, part throttle shift maps have been further optimized to prevent some TCUs from continuing to race to 6th gear, or toggling back and forth between 5th and 6th.

This update is available worldwide, and currently is designed for IS38 equipped vehicles, such as the AWD Golf R and S3. Other platform vehicles, such as the MK7 GTI and A3, will receive a similar update and announcement shortly.
