APR Audi B8 S4 3.0T FSI RSC Performance Full Catback Exhaust System| 06/16/2010
APR is pleased to present our first RSC™ Exhaust System for the Audi marque in the new 3.0T B8 S4 Model Years 2010+.
Reflective Sound Cancellation allows for maximum exhaust gas flow while completely eliminating in cabin sound resonance (drone). RSC™ incorporates innovative technologies developed in conjunction with NASA. With limited use of packing materials and no baffles, RSC™ allows for a completely straight and free flowing exhaust path through the RSC™ mufflers. Reflective Cancellation bounces the undesirable sound waves into each other to attenuate the wave and completely eliminate the low frequency tones that create drone. Each RSC™ muffler is tuned to eliminate specific, undesirable sound frequencies allowing only the engine's desirable exhaust notes to be heard and improving performance.
The OEM exhaust system consists of Headers, Catalytic Converters, Resonated Downpipes, a Center Resonator, Rear Mufflers and Exhaust Tips. The APR RSC™ Performance Exhaust System is a Full Catback Exhaust System as it replaces the OEM Resonated Downpipes, Center Resonator, Rear Mufflers and Exhaust Tips.
On stock software the exhaust saw gains of up to 18 HP.
APR Stage 3 B8 A4 Quarter Mile| 01/25/2016
On Sunday, January 24th, we headed to Montgomery Motorsport Park to test our new APR Stage III EFR6758 Turbocharger System in the quarter mile. The car was driven to the track in its currently daily driven form, on street tires, with 93 octane fuel and a full interior, in an effort to show real world results most customers will experience on a day-to-day basis. Several passes were conducted, resulting in record breaking pass after record breaking pass. Ultimately, Trevor@APR, the owner of the vehicle, was able to achieve a firstname.lastname@example.org MPH after cutting a 1.733 60 FT time!
The fueling system was unmodified, resulting in power limitations below the capabilities of the turbocharger system. Temperature at the track during the record pass was roughly 50F, resulting in a density altitude of roughly -575 feet. Unfortunately, the negative density attitude did not result in a sizable performance benefit compared to running in warmer conditions due the fueling system limitations. However, beneficial to APR customers in warmer climates, the above results are still applicable.
As temperature drops and air density increases, so does the need for more fuel to satisfied the air fuel ratios prescribed by APR's calibration experts. To safely prevent the engine from running out of fuel in cooler conditions, APR's calibration experts have calibrated the ECU to reduce boost pressure while targeting the same power levels. Euro Spec MK8 GTI and MK4 S3 at APR USA!| 01/18/2021
Our new European Spec VW GTI (MK8) and Audi S3 (8Y/MK4) Hatchback are here! We imported both of these from Germany and shipped them on over for development. We've spent the past few months working with APR Deutschland / Stoll Automotive to begin development on both vehicles, including fitting many of our existing parts. Some fit, some will fit, some required modification, and some are a total ground up project, but we're deep into it already. Stay tuned for this exciting new platform! New Audi RS Q8 Development Vehicle!| 01/15/2021
We just bought this #RSQ8 to further our new 4.0T development. This engine is shared in vehicles like the new RS6 and many others!
