APR 2.0T FSI DSG Stage 3
APR Stage 3 B8 A4 Quarter Mile| 01/25/2016
On Sunday, January 24th, we headed to Montgomery Motorsport Park to test our new APR Stage III EFR6758 Turbocharger System in the quarter mile. The car was driven to the track in its currently daily driven form, on street tires, with 93 octane fuel and a full interior, in an effort to show real world results most customers will experience on a day-to-day basis. Several passes were conducted, resulting in record breaking pass after record breaking pass. Ultimately, Trevor@APR, the owner of the vehicle, was able to achieve a firstname.lastname@example.org MPH after cutting a 1.733 60 FT time!
The fueling system was unmodified, resulting in power limitations below the capabilities of the turbocharger system. Temperature at the track during the record pass was roughly 50F, resulting in a density altitude of roughly -575 feet. Unfortunately, the negative density attitude did not result in a sizable performance benefit compared to running in warmer conditions due the fueling system limitations. However, beneficial to APR customers in warmer climates, the above results are still applicable.
As temperature drops and air density increases, so does the need for more fuel to satisfied the air fuel ratios prescribed by APR's calibration experts. To safely prevent the engine from running out of fuel in cooler conditions, APR's calibration experts have calibrated the ECU to reduce boost pressure while targeting the same power levels. Conversely, during hotter conditions, the ECU increase boost pressure
APR B7 RS4 Stage III TVS1740 Development Preview| 08/21/2013
Development preview showing the power difference between stock, our production Stage III TVS1320 supercharger system and a development calibration for the TVS1740 supercharger system. The final output on this run was over 480 AWFT-LBS and 510 AWHP on 93 octane. The calibration teams will continue to work on the calibration to smooth power delivery over the entire run while searching for more power on 93 octane.
APR Open PEX Intake System for the 1.8T/2.0T EA888 Gen 3 (MQB)| 09/30/2021
The APR Open PEX Intake System is the best dollar-per-horsepower intake system for the 1.8T/2.0T Engine! We’ve maximized performance and sound dramatically by reducing pressure drop and increasing airflow. This translates to more horsepower and torque, and less physical strain on the turbocharger. The system looks great, sounds amazing, and produces more horsepower and torque you can feel.
APR Porsche 2019+ Cayenne S / S Coupe 2.9T ECU Upgrades!| 09/09/2021
We're excited to announce our Engine Control Unit (ECU) Upgrades are now available for the Porsche Cayenne S and S Coupe (9Y) 2.9 TFSI engine with the Bosch MG1 ECU! Expect massive gains with up to 484-538 HP and 521-590 FT-LBS of torque on tap, depending on octane, from this simple software upgrade.
APR's ECU Upgrades are the best dollar-per-horsepower modification one can make to improve engine performance. The upgrades dramatically increase horsepower and torque, making for an exceptionally quicker and more exciting vehicle. This is made possible through APR's optimization of the factory engine management system to take full advantage of the engine's capabilities, without needing any end user adjustment. The ECU Upgrades are available with various features and supported octane levels and each stage is compatible with most typical bolt-on modifications. The software is installed to the vehicle's factory ECU through the OBD-II port once the ECU is unlocked, resulting in a clean and headache-free install. Furthermore, for those looking for tuning with a limited powertrain warranty, APR Plus has you covered!
