Race Development

In addition to severe on-road product testing, APR has raced vehicles in several series in collaboration with various race teams. APR's engineers have supplied on-site technical assistance to amateur racers, providing these racers with crucial engineering and technical support when they needed it most.

2002 represents a pivotal year for the APR race program. Although we will continue our support and encouragement for amateur race teams, our highly publicized race efforts will be professionally managed and run by APR. When you see the APR name or logo prominently displayed on a race vehicle, you will know that the vehicle represents the quality of engineering and overall competitiveness that people have come to expect from APR.

APR will run a limited schedule this year in the Grand-Am Cup competing with an Audi S4. S4's have been raced in this series before but have been unsuccessful. We feel that the S4 should be a leading contender in this series (as it is in the Speedvision GT series) and that the car's record in this series up to this date is a direct result of the cars being technologically advanced beyond the scope of expertise of the personnel running them. APR will change all of that this year by having full control of a racing Audi S4 in this series, working in collaboration with our professional partners Intrax Suspension.

APR also sponsors Donor Recovery Racing, a race team that donates money to the University of Rochester organ donation program. Congratulations to them for raising $7000 in 2001 with their 01 225TTQ Coupe....
